Jack Henry Gotwalt, Jr.

Springettsbury Township- Jack Henry Gotwalt, Jr., 75, of York died Friday, February 7, 2014 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Shirley Mae (Abbott) Gotwalt. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. The Reverend Adrian Boxley, Sr. will be officiating at the service. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Gotwalt was born in York on July 25, 1938, the son of the late Jack Henry Gotwalt, Sr. and C. Irene (Haines) Gotwalt. He retired from the former Golenco Contractors. Mr. Gotwalt was a member of Hawk’s Gunning Club, Pleasureville American Legion, post 799, and was an avid poker player. He served in the US Army. Mr. Gotwalt leaves a son, Jack H. Gotwalt, III and his wife Cathy of York; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Brenda L. Lanteigne. He was preceded in death by a son, Josh E. Gotwalt.
