Jack E. Mason, Iii

York—Jack E. Mason III, 52, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He was the husband of Lisa R. (Miller) Mason with whom he celebrated 18 years of marriage on July 13th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 AM Monday, July 28, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York with the Rev. Bruce Dick officiating. Visitations will be held from 5-8 PM, Sunday and from 9-10 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born February 10, 1962 in York, he was a son of Phyllis M. (Wilson) Mason of York and the late Jack E. Mason, Jr. He was employed with Kinsley Construction for the past 18 years as carpenter. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping and especially enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp in Potter County. A “Jack of all Trades”, he could fix or build anything. He also liked tending his vegetable garden, going to dirt bike hill climbs and was a passionate fan of the West York Bulldogs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mr. Mason is also survived by, two sons, Logan P. E. Mason and companion, Samantha of York and Casey S. Mason of York; one daughter, Aspen P. Mason-Waltemyer and husband, Bryan of Fawn Grove; two grandchildren, Wyatt Himes and Cheyanne Waltemyer; two brothers, Wayne E. Mason of Spring Grove and Robert E. Mason of York; one sister, Karen S. Smith of Dover and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Brock A. Mason and his Australian Sheppard, Diesel Marie.
