Isabelle M. (Snyder) Uckele

POTTSVILLE - Isabelle M. Uckele, 90, of Palo Alto, passed away Wednesday October 6, 2010 at Providence Place Retirement Community. Born in New Philadelphia on January 1, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Adele Snyder. Until retiring after 36 years she was a manager for the White Shop and Bridal Salon, Pottsville. She was married for 50 years to Joseph C. Uckele, who died Feb 16 1991. She was a member of the Church of St. Patrick. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Marge Snyder and two brothers, Joseph Snydey and Paul Snyder. Isabelle is survived by: a daughter, Carolyn L. and her husband Gene Willing, Palm Coast, FL; two grandsons, Eric J. Willing, Palm Coast, FL and Shawn J. Willing, Vero Beach, FL; a great grandson, Tanner J. Willing, Palm Coast, FL; three brothers, Albert Snyder, Daniel and his wife Margaret Snyder and Charles and his wife Bette Snyder; three sisters, Anna Wynosky, Helen Manfredi and Patricia Snyder; nieces and nephews and extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM from the Church of Saint Patrick, 4th & Mahantongo St., Pottsville. Family and friends are welcome to call at the church on Tuesday morning from 9 AM until time of mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Isabelles name to St. Patricks, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
