Isabel C. Miller Of Big Flats, New York Age 99, of 540 Maple Street, Big Flats, NY formerly of Corning and Bath, NY passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Founders Pavilion, Corning, NY. Isabel was born August 10, 1908 in Corning, NY eldest daughter of the late Norman and Anna Gilmartin Heverly. She was married for 78 years to the late William Miller who passed away on March 9, 2005. Isabel was a retired Supervisor at New York Telephone Company in Corning and PenYan, NY. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and knitting. She was a devout Catholic, said the rosary daily and was a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bath, NY. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and George "Bud" Haar of Corning, NY. seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great- grandsons, several nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and faithful care givers.. Her husband Bill, daughter Shirley Amoroso, sister, Jean Warner, grandson, Phillip Amoroso and her eight siblings predeceased Isabel. Family and friends are invited to a Service of Committal at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Mausoleum in St. Mary's Cemetery, Corning, NY with Deacon Ray Defendorf officiating. Memorials are directed to the Founders Pavilion Building Fund 205 East First Street, Corning, NY 14830, and the Dominican Monastery 1310 W. Church Street, Elmira, NY 14905 or to the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Site For the Sake of Children, 509 W. Onondaga Street, Syracuse, NY 13204.
