Irmgard Ware

YORK – Irmgard (Boehm) Ware, affectionately known as “Oma”, age 86, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Ware was born on January 31, 1938 in Butzbach Hesse, Germany; a daughter of the late Jacob and Lena Boehm. She retired from the Sands Casino & Hotel in Atlantic City. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and tending to her flower garden. More than anything, Irmgard loved spending time with her family and bonding over stories.

Mrs. Ware is survived by a daughter, Michelle I. Grant of Enola; four sons, Jurgen and wife Ventress Ware of Oakley, CA, Raoul Boehm of Hayward, CA, Pierre H. Ware of York, and Antonio Ware of Mt. Ephriam, NJ; seven grandchildren, Linea Roberson, Likeisha Wilmott, Bradley Brooks, DeShauna Beza, LaVasha Pacas-Carballo, Alex Boehm, and Marcus Reese; 14 great grandchildren; and a sister, Alfreda Remensieder.

A private tribute service will be held at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York.
