Iris F. (Vail) Brown

TROY-Iris F. (Vail) Brown of East Troy, PA passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. The memorial service to honor Iris’ life will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the East Troy Baptist Church Route 6 in East Troy, PA. Rev. Garry Zuber will be officiating. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with the arrangements. Iris was born on October 18, 1930 in Ansonia, PA, daughter of the late Kenneth Vail and Clora (Saunders) Vail Schriner. For many years Iris was a cook at the New Trojan Bar in Troy. She enjoyed playing bingo and the lottery, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren, especially at family gatherings. Iris is survived by her children: Marcy Cole of Troy, Butch (Linda) Brown of East Troy, Mert (Peggy) Brown of Troy, Pauline Brown of Sylvania, and Tracy (Craig) Seeley of East Troy, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, her brother Delmore Schriner and her sister Toby Miller, both of Wellsboro, along with several nieces and nephews and special “girl” Michelle Bryant. She was preceded in death her parents and a son.
