Irene M. (Dutton) Irvin

WILLIAMSPORT - Irene M. (Dutton) Irvin, 85, died Friday, June 07, 2013 at Manor Care South, Williamsport. She was born on September 05, 1927 in Lock Haven and was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Elsie (Eck) Dutton. Irene married the late James R. Irvin, Sr. on September 05, 1951 and they were married for 60 years until his death on October 16, 2011. She was a member of St. Joseph The Worker Parish, Annunciation Church, Williamsport. Irene enjoyed reading and doing crafts. She worked at Sycamore Manor and retired after 25 years, as a nurse’s aide. Irene is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; James R. Irvin, Jr. of Williamsport, Joseph G. and Janet Irvin of Williamsport and Thomas L. and Susan Irvin of Williamsport, one daughter and son-in-law; Robin M. and Gary Lucas of Williamsport, four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Thomas and Mary Dutton of Jersey Shore and Ralph and Imogene Dutton of Lock Haven and two sisters; Kate Shadle of Lock Haven and Thelma Hartsock of Williamsport. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight siblings. A public viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 at Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at St. Joseph The Worker Parish, Annunciation Church, 702 West Fourth St., Williamsport, PA with the Reverend Brian Van Fossen officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
