YORK- Irene A. (Alleman) Paules, 90, of York, died at her residence Monday, September 17, 2007. She was the widow of Clarence O. Paules. A Graveside Tribute Service will commence at 10am Friday, September 21, 2007 at Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. A funeral cortege will form at the entrance off of Pennsylvania Avenue at 9:45am. Burial will follow the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is handling the arrangements. Mrs. Paules was born August 11, 1917 in Millersburg, PA, a daughter of the late Charles D. and Verna A. (Koppenheffer) Alleman. She was a graduate of York High School and worked at Capital Screw & Nut Co., Inc. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Mrs. Paules was very active and belonged to the White Rose VFW Post 556, Women of the Moose, and the C.B. Social Club. She also belonged to the Heritage Senior Center, Windy Hill Sr. Center, and A.A.R.P. Mrs. Paules is survived by two sons, Rueben A. and his wife, Sheryl Paules of Dover and Clarence D. and his wife, Audrey Paules of Greenfield, WI; two daughters, June E. and her husband, Glenn Neiman of York and Jacquelyn and her husband, Jacob Wasbers of North Port, FL; 12 grandchildren and three step grandchildren; and numerous great and great great children. Preceding her in death is her brother, Charles D. Alleman and her sister, Mary A. Peters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 140 Roosevelt Ave., Suite 208, York, PA 17401 or St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market Street, York, PA 17401.
