Ida M. (Hickman) Watlack

EDWARDSVILLE-Ida M. Watlack, 100, of Edwardsville, formerly of Lee Park Ave., Hanover Township, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Beaver Falls, PA on May 7, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Matilda (Cattley) Hickman. She resided in Bear Creek for many years. She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre. Prior to retiring, she was employed by the Holiday Inn. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Watlack, who passed away in 1984; sons, Richard and Hubert Watlack; and daughter, Alice Jean Watlack. Surviving are her son, Robert Watlack, Dallas; daughter Audrey Watlack with whom she resided with in Edwardsville; 26 grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at Kniffen OMalley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main St. Wilkes-Barre with Father Daniel Gunn officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Hanover Green Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
