YORK-Hunter Vytout Jaras, 20 of Spring Garden Township, died Saturday, August 12, 2017 at York Hospital. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August, 18, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 6-7:30 p.m. The Reverend Dr. Janyce C. Jorgensen will be officiating at the service. Hunter was born in York on October 14, 1996, the son of Jeffrey V. Jaras, Jr.(Amanda Leese), of York and Marci J. Meals and her fiancé, Eric Warner of York. Hunter was a 2014 graduate of Central York High School and then graduated Parris Island. He was an avid hiker and loved the outdoors. He loved his girlfriend Lacy, visiting abandoned buildings and old structures, gaming, parkour, tattoos, music and working on his truck. The first concert he attended was Five Finger Death Punch, a birthday gift from his mom. He served in the US Marines. Along with his parents, he leaves a brother, Dillan Jaras of York; a sister, Aislinn King of York; his girlfriend, Lacy Betz, his pappal, Ivan Meals and his wife Darlene; an aunt Kimmy Fishel and her husband Fred; a nephew Aiden King; grandmother, Sally Jaras; grandfather, Jeffrey V. Jaras; an aunt Christy Blair and numerous cousins. He also leaves three best friends, Noel, Brady, Skyler. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Michael Bosserman.
