Hubert J. Muldowney, Jr. POTTSVILLE-Hubert J. Muldowney, Jr. 67 of Pottsville died Wednesday evening at the Schuylkill Medical Center South Jackson Street, Pottsville shortly after admission. Born in Shenandoah, PA May 8, 1941 the son of the late Hubert J. and Cecilia C. "Goff" Muldowney. He graduated from Penn Hills High School, Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Muldowney was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran. He was an insurance agent with American General, Pottsville. He attended the First United Methodist Church, , and a member of the American Hose Company and the Fraternal Order of Eagles all of Pottsville. Mr. Muldowney is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Patrick J. Muldowney, and his wife Ruth Wilson. Surviving is his wife Willie Ann "Hook"; Pottsville two daughters Diana wife of David Hess, Pottsville; Chandra Muldowney and her companion William Rogers, Pottsville; two sons Eric, husband of Jennifer Muldowney; Pottsville, Christopher, husband of Tracey Muldowney, Milton, FL; four grandchildren Zachary Hess, Delaney Muldowney, Cierra Alexander, Camden Rogers, all of Pottsville; a sister Cecilia Marie, wife Joseph Burns, Pottsville; three brothers Thomas H., husband of Margaret Muldowney; Joseph G., husband of Kathy Muldowney; both of Schuylkill Haven and James T., husband of Judy Muldowney, Pottsville, a sister-in-law Patricia Muldowney, North Wales, and his first wife Charlotte Iwaszkiewicz several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 4th & West Market Street, Pottsville. The Rev. Storm Hutchenson officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. till time of service. There will be no calling hours on Wednesday evening, and there will be no procession from the funeral home to the church Thursday morning. The family would prefer remembrance in the form of contributions to be made to either the American Heart Association, 25 Stevens Avenue, West Lawn, PA 19609, or to The First United Methodist Church, 4th & West Market Street, Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment with Military honors will be conducted at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
