Howard W. Boswell

Red Lion—Howard W. Boswell Sr, 77, died Thursday, February 18, 2010, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Lower Windsor Township. He was the husband of Geraldine N. (Stott) Boswell to whom he was married for 53 years. A celebration of life service will be held private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born June 11, 1932 in Chadbourn, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Carl Boswell and Ethel (Bullard) Jeffries. He was employed as a heavy equipment shop foreman at United Rental Equipment for 18 years. He also had a 25 year career in auto repair. A United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was also a member of the Red Lion American Legion Post-543 and the Moose Lodge in Woodbridge, VA. In addition to his wife, Mr. Boswell is also survived by, three sons, the Rev. Dr. Howard W. Boswell Jr., and his wife the Rev. Browen Boswell of Buffalo, NY, George C. Boswell and his wife, Georgianna of Red Lion and Ramon J. Boswell of South Riding, VA, eight grandchildren, Katie, James, Ian, Rhett, Lynn Ann, Ellie Jane, Paula Kay and Danielle, two great grandchildren, Kyle and Kara, two brothers, Harry H. Boswell of Bunnell, FL, and Wilton Boswell, Dayton, OH, three sisters, Hazel D. Carper of Woodbridge, VA, Carol B. Pack of Palm Coast, FL, and Virginia B. Harter of Easton, MD and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Selena Kennedy.
