Howard O. Fix

WILLIAMSBURG, VA- Howard O. Fix, 81, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Sharon E. Fix and the late Susan Griffin Fix.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A funeral cortege will meet at the entrance of the cemetery at 1:15 p.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.

Born on January 4, 1943 in York, he was a son of the late Edgar and Nellie (Trout) Fix.

Mr. Fix served our country in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966.

Howard was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in York. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course, playing cards with his siblings and most importantly game nights and holidays with his daughters and grandchildren.

Mr. Fix is survived by two daughters, Angela Rumsey and her husband, Larry of Johnson City, TN and Kelly Diller and her husband, Richard of Williamsburg, VA; three grandchildren, Abe Rumsey, Zeno Diller and Marley Diller; three brothers, Jesse Leroy Fix of PA, Wayne Fix and his wife, Betty of PA and Jay Fix and his wife, Jackie of Arizona; and three sisters, Gail Horton and her husband, Jim of Indiana, Nadine Flaherty of PA and Ruth Long and her husband, Michael of PA. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Fix, Glen Fix and Richard Fix.
