Howard L. Mike" Graves, Jr.

York - Howard L. "Mike" Graves, Jr., 69, of Yoe, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at York Hospital. A private funeral service will be held at the request of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc.,35 Gotham Place, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Graves was born September 19, 1938 in Washington D.C., the son of the late Howard Lewis and Lillian (Perry) Graves. Mr. Graves served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan and an overall sports enthusiast. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Mr. Graves is survived by two daughters, Michele Shirk and husband Doug of Windsor, and Shawn Marie Graves of Alexandria, VA; and two grandchildren, Timothy "Joey" and Stephanie Jane Shirk, both of Windsor.
