Hope (Taylor) Covert Davis

Dover—Hope (Taylor) Covert Davis, 79, passed away, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at her residence in Dover Township. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Davis Jr., and Lewis J. Covert Sr. A celebration of life tribute will be 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the residence of Ruth Ann and Steven Grove. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born March 12, 1931 in Wyoming, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Thelma (Williams) Taylor Sr. She was employed as a home health aide for several years with Quality Care. Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, Lewis J. Covert Jr., and wife, Nancy of Spring Grove and Richard M. Covert and wife, Erma of Texas, three daughters, Thelma A. "Sis" Johnson and husband, Ed of Dover, Barbara A. Madjeski of York and Ruth Ann Grove and husband, Steven of Dover, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one sister, June Crossley of Camp Hill, special friends, Dan and Missy Weiser, her cat, Honey and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Edward L. Johnson Jr. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924 N.
