Hilda M. Laubach

POTTSVILLE-Hilda M. Laubach, 73, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday at her residence. Born in Frankfurt, Germany on July 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Heinrich and Johanna Schliffer Ochs. Hilda was a corrections officer at the Schuylkill County Prison until she retired in 1995. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Central PA Teamsters Union and the Pennsylvania Sherriff's Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Laubach, who passed away in 1990; her brother, Willie Ochs. Hilda is survived by her two sons, Garry, husband of Georgette, and Jeffrey, husband of Helen, both of Ashland; her three grandchildren, Greg, Teagan and Tayler Laubach; her sister, Trude Eich. Private interment service will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, 400 Sanderson Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.
