RED LION- Herbert Stuart Flinchbaugh, 81, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of June Arlene (Boyd) Flinchbaugh. The couple wed on May 14, 1949. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Reverend Steven Schmuck officiating. Viewings will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday and 1-2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Salem Community Cemetery. Mr. Flinchbaugh was born on April 2, 1929 in North Hopewell Twp., a son of the late Stuart E. and Mabel R. (Hannigan) Flinchbaugh. Herbert worked as a Parts & Service Manager for A.H. Grove & Sons in Felton, was a Wireman at Borg Warner and then worked at Gichner Shelter Systems until his retirement in 1994. Mr. Flinchbaugh attended Red Lion Bible Church since 2005. Mr. Flinchbaugh was a 1946 graduate of Red Lion High School. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking. He was quite the handyman. Herbert could fix anything and would help everyone in need. Along with his wife, June, Herbert is survived by a son, Glen H. Flinchbaugh and his wife, Robin of Seven Valleys; a daughter, Norma Jean Flinchbaugh of Red Lion; two grandchildren, Shawn and Kristi; and a brother, Dale E. Flinchbaugh of Winterstown. He was preceded in death by a son, Bradly S. Flinchbaugh; a sister, Arlene R. Flinchbaugh; and a sister in law, Judy Flinchbaugh.
