WINDSOR TOWNSHIP- Henry "Sherwood" Hibner, 69, of Red Lion, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Snyder) Hibner. The couple celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on June 1, 2007. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 546 Pleasant Grove Rd. in Red Lion, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. at the church. His pastor, The Reverend Ersel Staples will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, with military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Hibner was born in York on March 3, 1938, a son of the late Arthur S. and Carrie E. (Boyd) Hibner. He retired in 2003 from the former Y.E.P. Industries in Emigsville. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Red Lion and a member of IBEW, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a US Army Veteran. Mr. Hibner leaves two sons: Jonathan Sage Hibner and Craig Sherwood Hibner, both of Red Lion, a brother Edward A. Wolfe of York and two sisters: Betty Sharp and Carrie Simon, both of York. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Makayla Alexis Hibner. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to: Hope Lodge, 125 Lucy Ave., Hummelstown, PA 17036.
