After 35 years of teaching, he ended his career at Hannah Penn Middle School. Most of his former students called him skinny Myers. During retirement Henry and Dolores traveled around the world, getting together with friends, he enjoyed woodworking, tinkering around the house and going to breakfast on Friday mornings with his grief share group and was golfing 18 holes up to this past summer. In November Henry enjoyed a trip sponsored by the Northeastern High School to Washington DC to see the WWII memorial and other war memorials, he was very proud that he served his country. Henry is survived by his children, daughter, Jeri Myers of York; son, wife and granddaughter, Henry “Cub”, Becky and Katie Myers of Cincinnati, OH; daughter, and husband, Jo and Orvin Craley of Hellam; his dog Petee, many granddogs and grandcats and nieces and nephews. Saying some last parting words was Bob from his grief sharing class. We would like to thank the honor guard for presenting a flag and playing taps one last time. A Celebration of Life Memorial party will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
