YORK - Henry A. Minello, 72, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 6, 2014 at York Hospital from complications after an accident on Sunday. He was the husband of Ruth (Jasulevicz) Minello to whom he married on Nov. 23, 1990. For 23 years they celebrated their marriage on the day after Thanksgiving. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 7:30 PM Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A viewing will be held from 6-7:30 PM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 10, 2014 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. Born March 7, 1941 in Scranton, a son of the late Louis and Antoinette (Rizzo) Minello, he currently worked at the Rt. 30 Crossroads Wine and Spirits Store. He had retired from his Technical Illustrator position at BAE in York and previously owned Big Apple Bar in Peckville, PA. Henry was a graduate of Williamsport Technical College. Mr. Minello was an avid and accomplished bowler, and a member of United States Bowling Congress. He was also a member of the American Legion. Henry enjoyed spending time with his cats and watching sports. He was a US Army veteran. In addition to his wife, Mr. Minello is survived by a son, Henry J. Minello of Larchmont, NY; two daughters, Vicki Minello and Tina Minello Chorman both of Kailua, HI; six grandchildren, Kainoa Chorman, Luka Chorman, Dean Henry Minello, Cara Minello, Nate Minello, and Steven Su; a brother, Louis Minello of Hummelstown; a sister, Rose Kuzmick of Scott Twp., PA; his former wife, Ann Marie Scinicariello and husband Joe; numerous nieces and nephews; his feline companions, Olivia, Freddie, Marcus, and Bruce; sisters in law, Marlane and Robert Carcopo, Pauline and John Williams, and Angela Minella; brothers in law, Edward M. Jasulevicz, and Tobias and Elise Jasulevicz; mother in law, Joan D. Jasulevicz. He was preceded in death by a brother, Angelo Minella; and father in law, Edward V. Jasulevicz. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his niece, Suzanne Minello Devine and friends, Russell and Alex Nave for all their help and support.
