Henrietta K. (Nau) Smith

WILLIAMSPORT - Henrietta K. (Nau) Smith, 99, died on Friday, June 8, 2007 at The Gatehouse in Williamsport. She was the wife of the late George R. Smith to whom she had married on November 25, 1937. Henrietta was born on February 5, 1908 in Asaph, Tioga County, a daughter of the late John W. and Katherine T. (Stinson) Nau. She was the oldest living graduate of St. Joseph's, a dedicated homemaker, a faithful member of Annunciation Catholic Church, president of the Altar & Rosary Society in 1955, president of the Annunciation senior citizens, Eucharistic Minister, scheduler of offertory gifts and a volunteer in prison ministry, Henrietta is survived by four daughters; Teresa S. Grieco and her husband Lawrence of Muncy, Sister Celine M. Smith, IHM of Williamsport, Diane M. Smith of New Windsor, NY and Maureen E. Smith of Winchester, VA, three grandchildren; Maureen O' Grieco of New Haven, CT, Ann E. Grieco of Albany, NY and Katherine N. Grieco, DO of Reading, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Annunciation Catholic Church, 701 W. 4th St., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery with Father John K. Manno officiating the services and assisted by the Reverend Glenn McCreary. There will be a public viewing from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Henrietta's memory can be made to The Gatehouse, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
