Helene M. (Ruff) Morris

YORK- Helene M. (Ruff) Morris, 92, passed away peacefully at her home on September 14, 2017. She was the wife of the late George A. Morris and the late James A. Randall. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York with the Reverend Judith McKee officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on June 28, 1925 in Riverton, WY, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Foos) Ruff. Helene was a salesperson at Weist Department Store and Jack’s Women’s Store. Mrs. Morris is survived by one son, Matthew G. Morris of York; two daughters, Carol A. Schintz and husband, William of York and Michele S. Tohtz and husband, Joel of Kalispell, MT; five grandchildren, Erica Tohtz and husband, Adam Hicks, Jason Tohtz, Ann Schintz Giesselbach and husband, Martin, Kathleen Schintz and James Schintz; and four great grandchildren, Bernadette Schintz, Daniel Giesselbach, Andrew Giesselbach and Sarah Giesselbach. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. Her youngest child, Matthew, is a special needs person whom she nurtured for over 35 years.
