Helene D. (Mcanally) Bailey

POTTSVILLE - Helene D. Bailey, 61, of Pottsville died Tuesday morning at her home. Born in Philadelphia on December 14, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Helen Lowe McAnally. She graduated from Merion Mercy Academy and further graduated from the West Chester State College. On June 28, 1969, she married Roger E. Bailey, who survives. Helene was employed by the Pottsville Area School District as a first grade teacher. She was of the catholic faith. In addition to her husband of 37 years, she is survived by: a son, Michael J., of Pottsville; and a daughter, Amy M., wife of Steven Eckert, Pottsville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 11 AM from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville. The Rev. David Loeper will officiate. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9 until time of service. Interment will be in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Yorkville.
