Helen Virginia (Ginny) Hummel

Helen Virginia (Ginny) (Bambrick) Hummel, 86 of Pottsville, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Schuylkill Medical Center South Jackson. Born in Tremont, PA on July 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Birmingham) Bambrick. Ginny was a member of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church and was a lifelong member of the Most Blessed Trinity Church Tremont, PA. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Paul W. Hummel; two sisters Shirley Delaplaine , Marjorie Ann, and a brother William. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Susan and her husband Edward Scheetz, Pottsville, Ellen and her husband Randy Feidt, Millersburg, PA; grandchildren, Ceane (Scheetz) and her husband Thomas Purin, Auburn, PA, Heather (Scheetz) and her husband Matthew Faughnan, Sunland, CA, Erin Feidt, Alex Cake, his daughter Alayna and fiancée Tracey Read; a nephew, Joseph Delaplaine, San Diego, CA. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Church, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. The Reverend David J. Loeper will officiate. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
