DAYTON, OH - Helen V. (Reich) Osborne, 89, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Westminster Woods Nursing Home, in Huntingdon, Pa. She was the loving wife of Edmund A. "Ozzie" Osborne to whom she was married for 70 years. Funeral services will be private at the request of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road, York, PA is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Osborne was born February 21, 1920 in Dayton, OH, a daughter of the late Earl K. and Louise (Marx) Reich. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1938. Mrs. Osborne was also a graduate of York Hospitals Aide Workers School, and served as an Aide at Bedford Hospital. She was a life member of Porter Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Middlebury Garden Club in VT. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Osborne is survived by a son, Dr. Larry N. Osborne and wife, Sandra of HI; two daughters, Patricia E. Gibbs and husband, Ron of York, and Louise J. Goldstein and husband, Dr. Peter Goldstein of Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Beth Ann Nixdorf, Laura E. Gibbs, Nathaniel E. Osborne, and Edmund Bates; two great grandchildren, Colin Nixdorf and Connor Nixdorf; a brother, Nathaniel Reich of OH, and a sister Barbara Poulson of OH.
