POTTSVILLE - Helen V. Miller, 84, of Pottsville, died at Manor Care Health Center on Monday morning. Born in Pottsville on January 16, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Helen Schneider Knoll. She attended Pottsville High School. On April 12, 1947 she married Robert P. Miller, Sr., who died April 16, 1990. Until retiring, after 30 years, Helen worked for Myer – Weiss as a seamstress. She was a former member of the Faith Assembly of God, Cressona, where she enjoyed their wonderful pastor, the Reverend Johnny O. Barnett. Prior to the Faith Assembly of God Church, she attended Trinity United Church of Christ. She was a past president of the West End Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving Helen are: two sons, Frank Miller and his wife Debbie, and Robert P. Miller, Jr., and his wife Char, all of Pottsville; three daughters, Marilyn and her husband Jerome Cohrac, of Stowe, Gloria and her husband Thomas Seritsky, Frackville, and Nancy and her husband Henry Linton, Richland; two brothers, Harold Knoll, Pottsville and Edward and his wife Eileen Knoll of New Cumberland, PA; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, John and Claude Knoll and two sisters, Gloria Miller and Georgine Snyder. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St. Pottsville, with the Reverend James Fidler officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 PM and Thursday from 9 AM until time of service. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 316 W. Market St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
