Helen N. (Anderson) Stambaugh

YORK- Helen N. (Anderson) Stambaugh, 81, of West Manchester Township, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edgar E. “Jim” Stambaugh, Jr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. in York, with a viewing from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Stambaugh was born in York on September 11, 1930, daughter of the late George W. “Wash” and Mary (Gotwalt) Anderson. She retired in 1992 from DENTSPLY in York. Mrs. Stambaugh was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and generous supporter of the SPCA, and enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a avid fan of Kasey Kahne and Jimmy Edwards. Mrs. Stambaugh leaves a son, Dennis D. Stambaugh and his wife Patsy of York; four grandchildren, Brandy Landis, Lesa Stambaugh, Eric Stambaugh, and Sarah Miller; three great grandchildren, Mercedes Landis, Zander Landis, and Scotland Oster; two brothers; and two sisters. A son, Barry L. Stambaugh had preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
