Helen M. (Stark) Hoffman

LOCK HAVEN - Helen M. (Stark) Hoffman, 84 passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit. She was born on January 4, 1929 in Lock Haven the daughter of LeRoy W. Stark, Sr. and Ellen Jane (Aughenbaugh). Helen worked for Sylvania, Hoy’s Restaurant, Nittany Hosiery, Millheim and Kelco Mfg., Jersey Shore until it’s closing in 1975. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, traveling and spending time with her family. Helen survived six battles with cancer, which began in 1988. She is survived by two daughters Pamela C. (Terry) Allen and Kathy Ann Hiney both of Lock Haven. 4 grandchildren Angelete, Stephen, Mickey and Amy and 12 great grandchildren. One brother Richard L. Stark, Sr., of Mill Hall. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her companion Ellery H. Galentine in 1994, son-in-law James “Rusty” Hiney in 2008, one daughter Ellen Jane Hoffman, son Gary W. Hoffman, two brothers LeRoy Stark, Jr. and Harold K. Stark. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at Dunnstown Cemetery.
