Helen M. (Shaull) Michael

YORK - Helen Marie (Shaull) Michael, 88, formerly of Red Lion, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Rest Haven - York. Funeral services and burial in Cross Roads U.M. Cemetery will be private. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. A resident of Wise Ave. in Red Lion for 64 yrs., she was the widow of Glendon W. Michael, who died in 1956. Surviving are two sons, Joel Michael of York and Keith Michael of Red Lion; two grandchildren; and two great grandsons. A third son, Bradley Michael died in 1995. Mrs. Michael was born near Felton and was the daughter of the late Thomas Curvin and Nellie (Briggs) Shaull. She held a variety of jobs over a long career including housekeeper, laundress, waitress, and cook. She was also a past president of Red Lion Jaycettes. Mrs. Michael had been an avid bowler, afghan-knitter, and ceramicist. Having resided two years at the Pine Manor Home in West Manchester Twp., she remained a member of Bethany U.M. Church, Red Lion.
