Helen M. Rieck

YORK--Helen Marie Rieck, 99, was delivered into the hands of her Lord on October 31, 2022, at York Hospital. Helen was born July 10, 1923, in Hobart, Indiana, the youngest of 7 children to William E. Lute and Martha Ann (Bender) Lute. She spent most of her life in the Hobart area until moving to York in 2015 to live closer to family. Helen was married for 73 years to Kenneth William Rieck, until his death in 2017.

Helen is survived by a daughter Louann and son-in-law David Stetler of York, PA, a son Robert Rieck and daughter-in-law Susan, of Abita Springs, Louisiana. She was predeceased by a son Kenneth B. Rieck. Her grandchildren were Brian Stetler and his wife Christina, Emily Stetler, Jennifer Rieck and her son Jaco, Gina Sanders, and Stephanie Spiers. She had 7 great grandchildren.

Helen was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in York. She was previously a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hobart, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday December 10, 2022 at Good Shephard Lutheran Church, 2121 Roosevelt Ave., York. Officiating the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Michael Wollman. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.
