Helen M. (Limbert) Renda

YORK - Helen M. Renda, 78, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Renda. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 10, 2010 at St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, 1569 W. Market St., York, PA 17404 with her pastor, The Rev. Elmer W.V. Scofield officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-3:00 PM Sunday in the Church parlor. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born July 1, 1931 in Dover, a daughter of the late Rev. Roy W. and Maude M. (Koontz) Limbert and stepdaughter to the late Rose E. Limbert, she was a 1949 graduate of Dover High School and a 1953 graduate of York Hospital Nursing Program. Mrs. Renda was an active member at St. Stephen's UCC where she helped with the Women's Guild and loved singing hymns. She was a member of Viking A.A., and enjoyed flowers, playing cards, bingo, and spending time with friends and family. She could always be found at her grandson's sporting events. Mrs. Renda is survived by a son, Frank A. and wife Melissa Renda of York; two daughters, Carol A. Renda of York and Suzanne R. and husband Scott Miller of Wellsville; two grandsons, Anthony and Nicholas Renda; and a brother, Robert S. Limbert of York. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy W.
