Helen M. Estep

Troy, PA Helen M. Estep, Age 85 of Redington Avenue, Troy, PA, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Towanda Memorial Hospital. Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr, Funeral Home, Inc. 100 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Her service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 8 PM with Pastor Dan Walker officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Glenwood Cemetery. Helen was born August 17, 1923 in Troy, PA daughter of the late L. Paul and Eleanor Knowlden Manley. She was a graduate of Troy High School and a lifelong Troy resident. Helen was employed for many years by the Troy Area School District and worked in the cafeteria. Later she taught and instructed Ceramics in her home shop. Her membership included the Troy Church of Christ. Helen liked to knitting, crocheting, painting and ceramics. Her greatest joy came from camping and spending time with her husband and family. Survivors include her two sons, Barry Estep and his companion Ruth Lee of Troy, PA, John and Nanette Estep of Granville Summit, PA, a sister, Elizabeth and Earl Ripley of Troy, PA, grandchildren, Nicholas, Jeremey, Natalie, Christopher and Bethany Estep, great-granddaughter, Alana Estep, several, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her parents, husband, Robert F. Estep and her three brothers Edward, Harry and Robert Manley predeceased Helen.
