Helen M. Barner

RENOVO - Helen M. Barner, 86, died Monday, September 14, 2009 at Bucktail Medical Center. She was born on October 5, 1922 at Carter Camp, PA the daughter of the late Harvey and Frances (Bailey) Heinrich. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. Barner in 1981. Helen worked for the Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg while living there. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. Surviving are two sons Joseph (Ellen) Barner of Renovo and Dennis (Joyce Ashley) Barner of Cross Fork and a daughter Marjorie (George) Patterson of Chester, NJ One granddaughter Tabitha and two great-grandsons Tyler and Donte. She is survived by one brother Robert Heinrich of Lock Haven and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by two sisters Isola and Marjorie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 17, 2009 at St. Joseph's Church, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo with Rev. Richard Tomkosky officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the church from 1:30 - 2:00 P.M. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hyner. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph's Church or Bucktail Medical Center in her memory.
