Helen L. (Will) Bush

WRIGHTSVILLE – Helen L. (Will) Bush, 86, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Holly A. Nugent. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Bush. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 29, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor Tanya L.H. Brubaker officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Born January 31, 1931 in Stonycreek, Somerset Co.; a daughter of the late Homer B. and Dora L. (Hartge) Will, she was a 1948 graduate of Shenksville High School. Mrs. Bush had worked as a banquet server at Yorktowne Hotel and in her younger years in Somerset she worked as a telephone operator. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in York City; enjoyed playing card games, particularly 500, and was a 50 yr. member of her Card Club; and attending game nights at St. Paul’s UMC. Helen loved tending to her garden and yard, watching birds and reading Birds In Bloom and traveling in an RV with family. Mrs. Bush is survived by two daughters, Kathy J. Bush and husband Murray Sauerbrei of Savannah, GA and Holly A. and husband Donald “Scrub” Nugent of Wrightsville; a son, Donald L. and wife Charlotte Bush of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren, Joe and wife Maddie, Ivey and husband Lance, Adam and wife Jenny, Brandon, Laura, Valerie, and Hope; two great grandchildren, Skylar and Gage; a nephew, Roger and wife Vikki Will of Freemont, OH; and dearest friend, Keli Mitchell of Dallastown. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Marlene, Mary and Nancy; and a brother, Homer Will.
