Helen L. (Elicker) Horner

YORK- Helen L. (Elicker) Horner, 89, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services-South. She was the loving wife of the late Clarence G. Horner to whom she was married to for 25 years. A graveside service will be 10:00 am Monday, October 18, 2010 in Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave, York, with family friend, Dave Wakeland officiating. A funeral cortege will form at 9:45 am at the main entrence to the cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Horner was born July 31, 1921 in York, a daughter of the late Harry L. and Maggie V. (Spangler) Elicker. Over the years she worked for numerous establishments throughout the York and Red Lion areas. She enjoyed bowling in her spare time. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, whose heart was always devoted to her family. Mrs. Horner is survived by two sons; Michael L. Elicker and wife, Judith of Spring Grove, and Barry Horner and wife, Georgine of Ephrata; a daughter, Carol L. Davis of Dallastown; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Jack S. Elicker of York, and James S. Elicker and wife, Ruthann of TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene L., Harry S., and Robert L. Elicker.
