Helen L. (Altland) Markey

DOVER – Helen L. (Altland) Markey, 86, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Manor Care North. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Markey. Born October 14, 1927 in Gatchellville, York Co., she had retired from York Casket Co. Mrs. Markey was a member of Paradise Holtzschwamm ECC and enjoyed traveling on bus trips. Mrs. Markey is survived by a son, William S. and wife Catherine Markey of Annapolis, MD; five grandchildren, Carrie and Kevin Markey, Kevin Klase, Mary Keller, and Anne Klase; four great grandchildren, Preston and Ashlynn Dove, and Bailey and Logan Markey; and a brother in law, Barry and wife Karen Markey of West Grove, PA. Funeral services and burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.
