Helen F. Dixon

EAST BERLIN- Helen Frances (Miller) Dixon, 93, of Washington Township, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at her residence. She was the wife of Ralph V. Dixon, Sr. The couple celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on July 2, 2021. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on May 7, 2022 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1502 4th Ave. in York, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Her pastor, Father Grant Ambrose will be officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mrs. Dixon was born in North Wilkesboro, NC on January 27, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Romulus S. and Lexi N. (Lenderman) Miller. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in York. She and her husband were active 4-H leaders in the York County 4-H Beef Club. Mrs. Dixon leaves four children, Gary Dixon, Ralph Dixon, Jr., Terry Lynn Almoney, and Elizabeth Noel; three grandchildren, Christopher Grothe, Eric Dixon, and Katie Dixon; two great grandchildren, Oswin Grothe and Phineas Grothe; and a brother, Ray Miller. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Romulus, Ralph, and John Miller. Memorial contributions may be made to 4-H Clubs of York County, 2401 Pleasant Valley Rd. York, PA 17402.
