Helen E. (Stambaugh) Musser

Helen E. (Stambaugh) Musser, 89, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Gordon J. Musser to whom she was married 63 years on June 14, 2010. A celebration of life memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with the Rev. Timothy Seitz-Brown officiating. A visitation will be held 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Paradise Union (Holtzschwamm) Cemetery. Mrs. Musser was born February 16, 1921 in Paradise Twp., a daughter of the late Ivory J. and Annie R. (Gentzler) Stambaugh. She was a member of Paradise Lutheran (Holtzschwamm) Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Manchester Fire Company #1. Mrs. Musser enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, riding her bike around town, and going to and having yard sales. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Musser is survived by two sons, Barry L. Musser and wife, Sandra A. of Spring Grove, and Dale E. Musser and wife, Barbara A. of Shiloh; a brother, Raymond Stambaugh and wife, Louise of Thomasville, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob I. and Edward Stambaugh. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Paradise Lutheran (Holtzschwamm) Church, 3241 Church Road, Thomasville, PA 17364.
