Helen E. Bosserman

YORK—Helen E. “Jean” (Newcomb) Bosserman, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 08, 2023 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home.

A Celebration of Life Tribute was held privately by the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements.

Born April 1, 1934 in Chapel Hill, TN, she was a daughter of the late George and Opal (Vaughn) Newcomb.

She was employed as a draper for many years with several companies throughout the York County area.

Grandma Jean loved her family and especially enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren. She was an avid George Jones fan and collected owl figurines and country music memorabilia.

Mrs. Bosserman is survived by her daughter, Sharon G. Morrison; three grandchildren, Tanya Greco, Amie Morrison and Travis Schnetzka; six great grandchildren, Marina, Jasmynn, Aaliyah, Dante, Lucian and Makenna; three sisters, Estelle Henderson, Cathy Stone and Barbara Sandridge and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey R. Bosserman; her husband, Carl R. Bosserman and six brothers and sisters, Aaron Newcomb, Lorene Crabtree, Alta Chumbley, Alma Rummage, W.T. Newcomb and Eva Barron.
