York—Helen C. (Claybaugh) Ilgenfritz, 98, formerly of Edison St., in York, went to be in the presence of her and savior, Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Manor Care Health Service-Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Edward E. Ilgenfritz. A celebration of life service will be held 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at York Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 501 Rathton Rd, York, with her pastor, the Rev. David R. King officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m., to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ilgenfritz was born October 22, 1909 in Taneytown, Maryland, a daughter of late Harry and Ivy (Fue) Claybaugh. She was employed with Tioga Mills on Edison St., in York for 35 years as a silk mill weaver, until her retirement in 1975. A member of York Christian and Missionary Alliance in York, she was also a member of the Jolly Seniors Club-Kranich Hall and was an avid sports enthusiast. Mrs. Ilgenfritz is survived by her son, Morgan E. Ilgenfritz and his wife Joyce of York, with whom she lived for the past six years, four grandchildren, Shonna Ilgenfritz of York, Mark Ilgenfritz of Sunbury, Amy Nehlson of W. Africa and Beth Wharton of Colo., 21 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to "Dorcas House", The C&MA, P.O. Box 35000, Colorado Springs, CO 80935-3500.
