Helen C. (Catherman) Lose

Helen C. (Catherman) Lose, 92, died Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Milton Nursing and Rehab Center, Milton. She was born on May 12, 1924 in Milton and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Carrie (Rudy) Catherman. Helen worked at the Milton Shoe Factory and then worked for over 20 years and retired from Woolworth in Florida and Virginia Beach. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and just being a home maker. Helen is survived by one son; Robert L. “Bobby” Joe of Land O Lakes, Florida, three grandchildren; Cindy G. McKee of Kentucky, Tim A. and his wife Tammy Joe of Tennessee and Bonnie J. and her husband Rich Rafter of Florida, one great grandson; Robert and his wife Jennifer Joe of Kentucky, one great great granddaughter; Anastasia Joe, one sister-in-law; Ruth Catherman of Milton and two nieces; Carol Drapper of Virginia and Chris Hines of South Carolina. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by one grandson; Tracey Joe and one brother; Herbert Catherman. A public viewing will be held from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Dale Ranck Cremation and Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by the funeral at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn M. McNett of Strawberry Ridge Trinity United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will take place in the Lewisburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family at a later date.
