Helen Alberta (Rutlo) Passeri

TROY- Helen Alberta (Rutlo) Passeri, 85, of Troy and formerly of Austinville, PA, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 16, 2009 in Troy Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late John Passeri who passed away April 16, 1991. The couple had 45 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 12:00-1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the Fellowship Bible Church, Just off Rt. 14 on Mud Creek Road south of Troy, PA. The memorial service to honor Helen's life will be held at 1:00 at Fellowship Bible Church with Rev. James Shay officiating. Burial will be in Bradford County Memorial Park. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Helen was born on December 5, 1923 in Scranton, PA, daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Ruotolo) Rutlo. She worked for Paper Magic on the assembly line for over 33 years and was Catholic by faith. Helen is survived by her sons: Ronald W. Passeri and John R. Passeri, Sr., both of Troy, her daughters: June (John) Bower of Troy, and Bonnie (Stewart Sherman) Peterson of Lowman, NY, her grandsons: Raymond Bower, Michael Wilcox, and John R. Passeri, Jr., along with several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, her brothers Fred and Orest Rutlo, and sister Emma Maira.
