Hazel J. Ruppert

DALLASTOWN – Hazel J. (Brenneman) Ruppert, 78, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. Paul Lebanon Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6955 Rippling Run Road, Felton with The Rev. Kathleen Kuehl officiating. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 PM Friday at the Church. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born August 10, 1940 in Felton, a daughter of the late Nelson V. and Lydia A. (Stern) Brenneman, she retired from York Co. Youth Development. Prior to that, she had worked at Barley Convalescent Home for 13 years. Ms. Ruppert attended St. Paul Lebanon Lutheran Church, was a former member of Red Lion VFW and enjoyed spending time with her family and pets. Ms. Ruppert is survived by two daughters, April L. and husband Greg Flaharty of Windsor and Crystal A. Wiland and companion Mike Lutz of Red Lion; a son, Shane A. and wife Renee Brenneman of Dallastown; two stepchildren, Steven Greenwood and Lori Stern; seven grandchildren, Steven Arnold, Britney Flaharty, Ronay Fregm, Randi Wiland, Abbegale and Claire Brenneman, and Edward Flaharty; four great grandsons, Marshall Tome, Mason, Briar and Cole Fregm; and many cousins whom she considered to be as close as brothers and sisters.
