Hazel I. (Wrights) Mccarthy

RED LION- Hazel I. (Wrights) McCarthy, 73, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at her residence. She was the loving wife of Eugene W. McCarthy. The couple celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on March 18. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:30 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Rev. Lyle S. Bundy and Rev. C. Leroy Doverspike officiating. A viewing will be held 12:30-1:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Hazel was born on March 18, 1936 in East Berlin, the daughter of the late Claude E. and Esther M (Kroft) Wrights . She was formerly employed as a secretary for Gable Elementary School, Red Lion. Mrs. McCarthy was a lifetime member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was also a life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Red Lion. She was an avid bingo player. In addition to her husband, Hazel leaves a son, William J. Kell, II; two daughters, Kim E. Sadler and Kathy E. Gordon; 5 step children, Penny A Berkheimer, Sharon S. Ginter, Deborah L. Heist, Diane E. Fromm, and Gregory E. McCarthy; two grandchildren, Robert Kell, and Jolene McClane; six step grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn E. Wrights, and Larry R. Wrights; three sisters, Kathleen Brown, Lena B. Reichert, and Frances L. Heiser, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice, 912 S.
