Hazel Belle (Miller) Long

MILTON - Hazel Belle (Miller) Long, 77, of Milton, died on Monday, August 2, 2010 at Geisinger Medial Center, Danville. Hazel was born on March 25, 1933 in Milton and was the daughter of the late George Watson and Helen Mae (Hoover) Miller. She was a dedicated homemaker and was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She was married to the late Arthur R. Long in 1960 who had died on January 1, 1998. Hazel is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law; Kathy Ann and Roy Sassaman of Selinsgrove, Amy L. and Robert Gabel of Lewisburg and Molly G. Long and her partner Christy Noll of Sunbury, 14 grandchildren; Roy and his wife Nicole, Nevin and his wife Kate, Simon, Ryan and his fiancee' Sarah, Justine and her husband Bobby, Heather and her husband John, Theresa, Starletta, Kiel, Tyrell, Joshua, Byron, Eternity and Isaiah, seven great grandchildren; Jenna Andrew, Grant, Ian, Randy, Hailey and Emily, and two sisters; Ruth Satteson and Mary Jane Phillips, both of Milton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Patricia Long, two brothers; Frank and Vernon Miller and two sisters; Harriet Rife and Roxanna Miller. There will be a public viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor John E. Lee will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion U.M.C., P.O. Box 82, West Milton, PA 17886.
