POTTSVILLE- Harvey B. Leymeister, 71, of Marlin, passed away Tuesday morning at his home. Born in Auburn, he was a son of the late Claude and Anna Stump Leymeister. Harvey was a tow motor operator at Dana Corp., Reading for 33 years until he retired. He was a member of the former Saint Joseph’s Church and is currently a member of Saint Patrick’s Church, both of Pottsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Smith; his 6 brothers, Claude, Jr., Clyde, Donald, Sterling, Edward and Gene Leymeister; his brother-in-law, Gary Caravan. Harvey is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris G. Caravan Leymeister, of Marlin; his four sons, Michael, husband of Deborah, of Pottsville, Craig, of Marlin, Kevin, of Cumming, GA and Jason Leymeister, husband of Dae, of New Burn, NC; his daughter, Mandy Leymeister, of Marlin; his ten grandchildren, Miranda, Brandon, AJ, Brittany, David, Amy, Cadyn, Nicholas, Dominic and Ava; his four brothers, Leroy and Kenneth, both of Auburn, Glenn, huband of Mary, of Bernville and James Leymeister, husband of Debra, of Orwigsburg; his two brothers-in-law, Thomas Caravan, of Marlin, and Edward Caravan, husband of Mary Rita, of Sgt. Bluff, Iowa; his sister-in-law, Joanne O’Toole, wife of Michael, of Pottsville; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Patrick’s Church, Mahantongo Street, Pottsville. Reverend Edward B. Connolly will officiate. Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at the church. Interment will be held in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville. Memorial contributions can be sent to Saint Patrick’s Church, c/o the soup kitchen, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901. Online condolences may be sent to bestlifetributes.com.
