Harry P. Hill, Sr.

TROY - Harry P. Hill, Sr. Age 77, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at Williamsport General Hospital. Harry was born May 3, 2010 in Blossburg, PA son of the late Charles and Fannie (Armstrong) Hill. Harry was a veteran of the Korean War having served his country with the US Army. He and the former Marjorie M. Strock were married December 24, 1956 in Roseville, PA. Harry was retired from Gordon Martin Construction Company where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He enjoyed working in his garden and with flowers, working on small machinery and lawnmowers, reading and being outdoors. Harry especially enjoyed chocolate cake, but most of all the greatest joy was the time he spent with his family who will miss him dearly. Survivors include his loving wife Marjorie M. Hill, his children, Debbie Boop-Kent & her husband Ed Kent, Paul & Sue Hill, Sharon & Dave Peet, Sherry Hill, Jim Hill, Ted Hill, Julie & Kevin Watts, Linda & Mark Dibble, Kevin & Kristie Hill, twenty grandchildren, thirteen, great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and a life time of friends. Family and friends are invited to call from 12 to 2 PM Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 W. Main Street, Troy, PA. Harry's funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2 PM with Pastor Ray Umstead of the Roseville Independent Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Roseville Cemetery.
