Harry K. Herrick

DALLASTOWN - Harry K. Herrick, 90, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Lorraine Herrick and the late Cleo T. Herrick. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his pastor, The Rev. Steven Schmuck officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Friday and 9-10:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born March 1, 1920, in Bainbridge, NY a son of the late Ralph W. and Ina (Knapp) Herrick, he retired from Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot in 1981 after 30 years of service. Mr. Herrick had also been a school bus driver for Red Lion Bus Co., and was a delivery driver for IGS Knives until his retirement there at age 80. He enjoyed hunting and spent many hours splitting, chopping and sawing wood. Mr. Herrick was a member of Red Lion Bible Church and helped with their food bank. In addition to his wife, Mr. Herrick is survived by two sons, Michael R. and wife Kay Herrick and David R. and wife Kay Herrick both of Red Lion; four daughters, Bonnie I. and husband Larry Barshinger of Windsor, Cathy A. and husband Greg Weirich of Manchester, Penny J. and husband Bob Cutlip of Lewisberry, Lynn A. and husband Steven Ebersole of York; a step-daughter Beverly Keesey of Windsor; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, and one brother and sister. Memorial contributions may be made to Red Lion Bible Church, 105 Springvale Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356.
