Harry F. Ditzler

MILTON - Harry F. Ditzler, 94, died on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Kramm Health Care Center, Milton, PA. Harry was born in Northumberland County on July 22, 1914 and was a son of the late Harry R. and Gertrude (Snyder) Ditzler. He was married to the former Hulda S. (Krick) for 71 years and who survives. He worked for many years at the Narehood Stone Quarry and retired from Warshaw and Son in the 1960's. He was a member of the Follmer Lutheran Church. He raised German Short Hair hunting dogs and enjoyed gardening and hunting. In addition to his wife, Hulda, he is survived by one son; Jesse E. Ditzler of Milton, one daughter; JoAnn E. Snyder of Milton, three brothers and two sisters-in-law; Jesse L. Ditzler of Pougheepsie, NY, Robert "Bob" and Doris Ditzler of Blairsville and Kenneth "Ken" and Emily Ditzler of West Columbia, SC, three sisters and one brother-in-law; Ethel Gemberling of Towson, MD, Sarah Hess of Laporte and Nancy and Jerry Hull of Covington, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson; Raymond Niel Yost, one brother; Richard Ditzler, three sisters; Edith Metz, Mildred Newton and Marguerite Lindauer and one son-in-law; Charles Snyder. There will be a public viewing from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. The Reverend Barbara Jean Collins will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
