AIRVILLE- Harry E. Sliver, 65, died on Friday, September 18, 2015 at York Hospital. He was the companion of 12 years to Sandra E. (Eichelberger) Mellinger. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Chanceford Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1784 Woodbine Rd., Airville, with Pastor Jimmy Baldwin officiating. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born on September 10, 1950 in Woodbine, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary (Lane) Sliver. Harry was a farmer. Mr. Sliver loved antique cars and traveling to car shows. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his granddaughter. Along with his companion, Sandra, Harry is survived by one granddaughter, Karrissa McCauley; three brothers, Robert Sliver of Brogue, Donald Sliver of Brogue and Marvin Sliver of Honeybrooke; three sisters, Shirley Cochran of Hillsboro, W.V., Margaret Windon of Brogue and Helen Johnson of Delta; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sliver. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to One Farm at a Time at www.community.coop/onefarmatatime Harry will be greatly missed by his granddaughter and family.
